Install the protections in compliance with the standards and the constraints of the structure

The environnement codes define the Classified Installation for Environment Protection ( CIEP) as « factories, workshops, depots, and sites, on a general way, the facilities operated or belonging to any natural or legal person, public or private, which can present dangers or inconvenients either for the convenience of the neighborehood, either fo health, safety, either for agriculture, either for nature, environment and landscapes protection, either for energy rational use, either for sites and monuments conservation as well as the elements of archaeological heritage ».

In the aim of minimize the risks relating to these installations, the law defines procedures depending on classified installations for environment protection. The dispositions of the environment codes depending on ICPE are also applicable to quarrying operations (refer to articles L. 100-2 and L. 311-1  of the mining code.

NF C 17-102, Lightning protection with ESE of January 2009
This standard describes rules of installations for Early Streamer Emission (ESE), for the protection of structures and open areas against direct lightning strikes. It gives rules depending on conception, realization, checking and maintenance for installations done with Early Streamer Emission lightning conductors.
